This is my first time to blog. I'm basically doing this as a way to try keep up with memories. I'm horrible at journaling, baby books, anything like that. We take pictures with our digital camera, and I'm so thankful it automatically timestamps them! So maybe this will help me remember our stages of life as pass through them.
Reagan has been away at Kamp Kennessee this week. We received an unexpected letter from him today. I didn't pack any stamps or envelopes for him. We had agreed he would just write in his journal. But, he found an envelope and stamp somewhere, and we received a wonderful letter today. What a treat! He said his towels make him blue (I thought they had been washed, guess not! But this means he's bathed at least once this week!), the zipline was too high, and some of the boys in his cabin have been talking about disgusting things. Guess we'll learn more about that later.
We go to pick him up tomorrow night and are excited to see him and hear how his first week away from home has been.
This week has been good for the younger two. They have played well together most of the time. And, they hae enjoyed being first in line. Joshua has slept in Reagan's bed most nights (Although, he had a few nightmares at the first of the week about being left out. That broke my heart.). He wants to talk with Reagan about swapping beds now when Reagan gets home. He and Zoe have enjoyed not having to split TV time three ways too. But, everyone was glad to hear Reagan's letter - even though Zoe giggled and covered her ears the first time I tried to read it to her. :)
I had to water my plants this week. Thankfully it rained yesterday and today. I have even more appreciation for Reagan taking care of that chore! Michael forgot to take the garbage out on Wednesday - typically Reagan's job too. So his absence had an impact on us too! Seriously we have missed him. But are so excited that he had an opportunity to do this. I hope he had a good week.
I hope we'll have at least a few days of renewed appreciation for one another once Reagan is home. We'll see. All this sibling stuff if new to me anyhow. This may be a totally unrealistic expectation.
Well, my first post is probably too long. But, I'm new to this. G'night!
