We got back from picking Reagan up from Kamp Kennessee today. He had a great week, but was ready to be home. He saw us driving down the road to the camp, and came running to meet us in the road with a great smile and hugs for everyone. We spent the evening together at the performances hearing about all his adventures.
During the congregational singing, we sang a song that always makes me cry. Reagan noticed this and was concerned about me, asking if I was ok. I assured him I was and explained why that particular song makes me cry. But, he was so concerned for me that he had teared up also. He's a wonderfully sensitive child. I'm so glad he is aware of others and their feelings.
Throughout the night, he would hug us or show other acts of kindness. This morning he even held my hand as we were walking to go see the rest of the family. But, the ultimate was this afternoon after we got home . I was walking into the kitchen, and I heard Reagan walking quickly behind me. Next thing I new he was hugging me from the back and then the front with the most wonderful hug I've ever had! When I asked what that was for, he said, "I'm just glad to be home." :)
He had a wonderful week at camp. But we've had a wonderful day after camp!
